Definidos os adversários e as respectivas datas dos jogos das partidas de quartas de finais do torneio Copa Libertadores da América.

Dos 06 (seis) times brasileiros participantes da disputa pela taça da Libertadores em 2014: Atlético-MG (campeão 2013), Atlético-PR, Botafogo, Cruzeiro, Grêmio e Flamengo, SOMENTE O CRUZEIRO ESPORTE CLUBE, dono de 02 (duas) Libertadores, continua vivo na competição, representando o Brasil.

Os 08 (oito) times classificados para as quartas de final são: Nacional-PAR e Arsenal de Sarandi (jogos 07/05/2014 – 18h45 e 14/05/2014 – 19h30), Nacional de Medellin e Defensor (jogos 08/05/2014 e 15/05/2014 – 22h), Bolívar e Lanús (08/05/2014 - 19h45 e 15/05/2014 - 19h30), San Lorenzo e Cruzeiro (jogos 07/05/2014 Buenos Aires e 14/05/2014 Mineirão – 22h).

Os jogos das semifinais serão disputados nos dias 23/07/2014 e 30/07/2014 e os jogos da final nos dias 06/08/2014 e 13/08/2014 em horários a serem definidos.

A Copa Libertadores da América é considerada o maior torneio de clubes do continente e o segundo mais importante do mundo, atrás apenas da Liga dos Campeões da Europa. O torneio conta com 32 clubes das dez confederações sul-americanas e do México.

A Confederação Sul-Americana de Futebol – Conmebol é a organizadora da competição que é dividida em três fases: preliminar, conhecida como pré-Libertadores, primeira fase ou fase de grupos e a segunda fase - popularmente chamada de mata-mata. As equipes se enfrentam sempre em jogos de ida e volta, sendo divididos em 08 (oito) chaves de quatro clubes, na fase de grupos.

As 02 (duas) equipes que somarem mais pontos em cada grupo seguem para a próxima fase em confrontos eliminatórios, passando para as disputadas oitavas de finais, quartas de finais, semifinais e final. O campeão representará a Conmebol no Mundial de Clubes da Fifa.
