Que efetivamente “sejam dois”... “Melhor é serem dois do que um...”. Que seja sincero o amor de vocês e que ele se renove e fortifique-se a cada instante para que suportem os obstáculos e blindem com alegria a efetiva aliança do enlace de vocês.

O dia dedicado à comemoração do dia dos namorados, assim como várias outras datas comemorativas são importantes, mas, não simplesmente como datas comerciais, e sim, como principalmente um momento para reflexão sobre o que estamos comemorando.

Sabiamente, a palavra contida nas escrituras, nos contempla com ensinamentos para que possamos refletir e aperfeiçoarmos os nossos sentimentos para com a pessoa amada.

Melhor é serem dois do que um, porque têm melhor paga do seu trabalho. Porque se caírem, um levanta o companheiro; ai, porém, do que estiver só; pois, caindo, não haverá quem o levante. Também se dois dormirem juntos, eles se aquentarão; mas um só como se aquentará? Se alguém quiser prevalecer contra um, os dois lhe resistirão; o cordão de três dobras não se rebenta com facilidade. (Eclesiastes 4:9-12).

O amor é paciente, o amor é bondoso. Não inveja, não se vangloria, não se orgulha. Não maltrata, não procura seus interesses, não se ira facilmente, não guarda rancor. O amor não se alegra com a injustiça, mas se alegra com a verdade. Tudo sofre, tudo crê, tudo espera, tudo suporta. (1 Coríntios 13:4-7)

Sobretudo, amem-se sinceramente uns aos outros, porque o amor perdoa muitíssimos pecados. (1 Pedro 4:8)

O amor deve ser sincero. Odeiem o que é mau; apeguem-se ao que é bom. Dediquem-se uns aos outros com amor fraternal. Prefiram dar honra aos outros mais do que a vocês. (Romanos 12:9-10)
