Tende cuidado, para que ninguém vos faça presa
sua, por meio de filosofias e vãs sutilezas, segundo a tradição dos homens,
segundo os rudimentos do mundo, e não segundo Cristo. (Colossenses 2:8)
O
saber é um instrumento especial para as conquistas terrenas e para o alcance da
dádiva da vida eterna, mas, para que não sejamos persuadidos, a busca do
conhecimento deve ir ao encontro da fonte pura e inesgotável que é a palavra.
Quando
nos deixamos conduzir pelo temor a Deus, alcançaremos a sabedoria divina que
nos garantirá apropriar do verdadeiro e digno conhecimento terreno, o qual nos
conduzirá com serenidade à prosperidade do mundo em que vivemos.

It tends care, so that nobody makes you your prey,
through philosophies and void subtileness, according to the men's tradition,
according to the rudiments of the world, and not second Christ. (Colossenses
2:8)
The knowledge is a special instrument for the
terrestrial conquests and for the reach of the gift of the eternal life, but,
so that we are not persuaded, the search of the knowledge should go to the
encounter of the pure and inexhaustible source that is the word.
When we let to behave for the fear to God, we will
reach the divine wisdom that will guarantee to appropriate of the true and
worthy terrestrial knowledge, which will lead us with serenity to the
prosperity of the world in that lived.
