Mas nós, que somos do dia, sejamos sóbrios, vestindo-nos da
couraça da fé e do amor, e tendo por capacete a esperança da salvação. (1

Deus nos ensina a sermos cautelosos, procurando ser
vigilantes, ou seja, não permitirmos que as nossas ações sejam prejudicadas por
influências quaisquer que sejam.
O Senhor nos deixa o ensinamento nas escrituras para que possamos
ser capazes de nos protegermos contra a embriaguez do mal, pelo que devemos
sempre buscar pelo amor inigualável do nosso salvador.
